Privacy policy

Who we are

StockRadar UK (“we”, “us”) is a small independent restock-alert service for UK Pokémon TCG collectors, operated as a sole-trader product. Site: stocksradar.uk. We are not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or any retailer.

What we collect

• Account: email, optional name, password hash (we never store plain passwords).
• Preferences: product watches, postcode / radius for local Smyths, quiet hours, alert settings.
• Telegram (optional): chat ID when you link the bot so we can send restock messages.
• Billing (Plus): handled by Stripe. We store Stripe customer / subscription IDs and status — not full card numbers.
• Technical: session cookies / tokens, basic server logs (timestamps, errors) needed to run the service.

Why we use it

• Create and secure your account (free den / Plus).
• Scan shops and send restock alerts you asked for.
• Process Plus subscriptions and cancellations via Stripe.
• Improve reliability (fix stock honesty, fix outages).

Legal bases (UK GDPR): contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent where you opt into Telegram or marketing-style messages.

Who we share with

• Stripe — payments and billing portal.
• Resend (or similar) — transactional email (alerts, welcome).
• Telegram — only if you connect the bot.
• Cloudflare — domain / tunnel routing to our host.

We do not sell your email list. We do not run ad trackers or sell data to brokers.

How long we keep it

While your account is active. You can delete your den anytime under Settings → Delete account (password required). We then remove your watches, alerts, and profile. Stripe may retain payment records for tax / disputes even after you leave.

Cookies & sessions

We use essential cookies / local storage for login sessions so you stay signed in. No third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the ICO.

Security

Passwords are hashed. HTTPS is used on stocksradar.uk. Stock data is best-effort from public shop pages — never treat it as financial advice or a guarantee of purchase.

Children

The service is aimed at adults / collectors who can form a contract. If you are under 16, please only use it with a parent or guardian.
