How to get Pokémon cards at RRP in the UK
New Pokémon TCG products sell out at RRP within minutes, then come back at scalper prices. Here is what our checks of real UK shop pages show about where and when fair-priced stock turns up.
1. Watch the shops that really restock at RRP
The shops where we saw the most restocks at or near RRP (at most 10% over) in the last 30 days:
- Boardgamist: 3 restocks, typically gone in 3 min (Plus shop)
- Amazon UK: 1 restock, typically gone in 7 min
- Be More Geek: 1 restock, typically gone in 268 min (Plus shop)
- Rollplay Games: 1 restock, typically gone in 9 min (Plus shop)
- The Game Collection: 1 restock, typically gone in 18 min (Plus shop)
Most are small independent card shops. They price at RRP, sell one per customer, and put new stock on without notice. Every shop we check.
2. Be quick: minutes, not hours
This week a fair-priced restock typically lasted about 21 minutes before the page read sold out again. Refreshing pages by hand doesn't work at that speed. A ping to your phone does: see what restocked this week and how fast we pinged.
3. Know how the big shops sell it now
- Argos: Sold through the Argos app, for collection. Argos sells Pokémon cards through its app, for collection from a store. In May 2026 it said no Pokémon cards would be sold over the counter in any Argos store, and home delivery isn't offered. (Reported by TheGamer, quoting Argos's statement, 13 May 2026)
- Smyths Toys: Mostly in store, with limits. Which? reports that many Pokémon packs, sets and boxes at Smyths can only be bought for in-store pickup and have order limits: one Elite Trainer Box per customer. (Reported by Which?, 1 June 2026)
- Amazon UK: by invitation. Some products show “Request invite” instead of a basket. What's open for invites now.
4. Know the RRP, and skip the rest
Every product page shows its UK RRP, the best price we can see now and 30 days of price history. StockRadar stays quiet about restocks more than 50% over RRP, so a ping means a price worth having. Browse every set.
